I don’t pray. I haven’t ever tried to establish a relationship with the Almighty. And it is when; I have a great faith in his existence. I haven’t ever done anything to please him. And he has blessed me all the time. I thought to myself why do I get blessed? Why is he always helping me out and never letting me fall.

Work, Devotion, Worship

Then one day I met this amazing human being whose name is Dronacharya Mishra. He is currently working as a tennis coach with Scottish High International School in Gurgaon. Drona sir is exceptionally intelligent and enjoys a great understanding of spirituality. So I asked him, “Sir why do good things happen to me in life, when I do not pray at all.”

He smiled and said, “The same happens to me and I have got an answer that will satisfy you. All what we human beings can offer to God is devotion. Even I do not pray but when I work, I just devote myself to that. I am never late for the academy sessions. It’s been ten years that I have been training kids and I have enjoyed the same level of enthusiasm every single day. When I am on a tennis court, the feeling running inside me is similar to that of an individual praying in a religious institution. So it’s all a matter of Devotion. I hope you understand now how it works.”

I felt really satisfied hearing to his reply. When I peeped in my life, it took me no time to realize the reason, why I m being blessed. Drona Sir chose what he loved and than he just dedicated himself to that very thing. He owns today everything in life. He has visited so many countries, when he desired to visit none. All because he never worked and always worshipped.

Mother Teresa said once, “There is always the danger that we may just do the work for the sake of the work. This is where the respect and the love and the devotion come in – that we do it to God, to Christ, and that’s why we try to do it as beautifully as possible.”

So next time whenever you are working, think like you are praying. And life will no more be the same.
